At Hotel Alpenrose, sustainability means more than just a concept – it is a commitment we live out daily and in every detail. Every area of the hotel is designed to conserve resources and preserve nature.
This starts with green electricity from our own photovoltaic system. Since 2023, it has been supplying clean energy directly from the balcony power plant. In the bathrooms, you will find high-quality, reusable, and sustainable amenities instead of disposable products.
Here, we create a holiday that not only brings joy and offers the highest comfort, but also respects the environment. This way, we ensure that the impressive nature around Obertauern, with its mountains, alpine pastures, and forests, will be preserved for the future – for us, our guests, and future generations.

Regional Suppliers
We work closely with local partners. This means short transport routes, a strengthened local economy, and the highest quality for our guests.
Environmentally Certified Cleaning Products
Throughout Hotel Alpenrose Obertauern, only products with recognized sustainability certifications are used – clean, hygienic, and environmentally friendly at the same time.
Green Website
We have a “Green Website” by Doppelpack. This means that during the creation of our website, a tree (sycamore maple) was planted in cooperation with a local farmer.
Sustainable Laundry
Our partner laundry uses certified, environmentally friendly processes that save water and energy without compromising on cleanliness.
Photovoltaic System
Since 2023, an in-house 10 kWp system has been supplying green electricity directly from the balcony – climate-friendly and independent.
EV Charging Station
Since 2024, guests can conveniently charge their electric vehicles at the modern, in-house charging facility.
Bathrooms
We deliberately avoid single-use items and instead rely on high-quality, largely reusable items.
Resource-saving linen change
Hand and bath towels are changed only upon request, bed linen after seven nights – more frequently upon request and for an additional charge, of course.
