We are delighted that you would like to stay in our apartments in Obertauern during your skiing holiday. If you’ve already been here with us, then you’ll know what there is to look forward to. If this will be your first time here, we can tell you one thing right now: you’ll be filled with enthusiasm!
In the apartment – everything is there
The Alpenrose Apartments are located in the centre of Obertauern. Our cosy apartments, which are of varying sizes, are furnished in Alpine country style and have comfortable facilities, amongst them a fully fitted kitchen, a cable flatscreen TV, telephone, room safe, WLAN (for a fee),some have balcony (south-facing), hairdrying, mirror for make-up etc.
Away from the apartment – experiencing Obertauern
Your skiing and snowboarding pleasure starts practically directly from the doorstep of the Alpenrose Apartments. It’s just a short walk to the Gamsleitenbahn, which takes you quickly and comfortably to the middle of the fantastic ski area. In Obertauern winter runs from November to May, making Obertauern one of the most snow-assured ski regions in the Alps. 26 lift facilities open up around 100 of the best prepared, kilometres of pistes to you which are rich in diversity, taking you from one dreamy ski run to the next, amongst these ski runs is the famous “Tauernrunde”.
Snowboarders will be thrilled with the “Longplaypark” which has fantastic kickers, various rails and boxes, a quarterpipe and lots more.
Cross-country fans too really get their money’s worth in Obertauern. They can look forward to a total of 26 km of superb slopes (amongst them the 10 kilometre World Cup slope), which is very close to the Alpenrose Apartments.
Obertauern also has a lot on offer for non-skiers. Even though you can lounge around in comfort in your apartment in Obertauern, what about going on a superb winter or snow-shoe hike, a speedy toboggan run or a romantic carriage ride? Or what about a trip to the modern sports centre in Obertauern, which gives you lots of options to be active “indoors” too. Or how about relaxing and enjoying wellness treatments in the wonderful luxury sauna and steam bath area? You can experience all this and more in Obertauern.
